Westlands Bowling Club
John Clarke Trophy Finals 2009
North Staffs Junior Bowls League held the finals of their John Clarke Memorial Competitions at Knypersley Sports Club on Sunday September 6th. |
There was some excellent bowling throughout the day, including a drawn match. This resulted in a keenly fought play-off between Leek's Danny Ferris and Josh Towey of Florence T&BC 2. Danny winning 7-4 to take his team into the Main Final. The league would like to thank Mary Clarke and her son, Steve, for their continued sponsorship of this event. Thanks also to the Knypersley Sports Club, especially Carol Hornsby, for the kind use of their facilities, refreshments provided on the day and their kind donation to the Junior League. Trophies were presented by Mary Clarke and Sue Williamson. Semi-Final and Final scores are given below (please click on any photo for larger view) |
