The John Clarke Finals were held at Florence T&BC for the first time and a good crowd watched some of out top junior bowlers in action. |
The Management Committee of the North Staffs Junior League are most grateful for the continued support of Steve and Steve Clarke. Thanks also go to those who helped with measuring duties on the day. We are very grateful to the Florence Club for the use of their facilities and the excellent refreshments provided. |

There was nothing to choose between the teams and after 2 games Fegg Hayes held an 18 shot lead by virtue of their 14 handicap. In the second games, a re-match between Sam Bailey and Dan Mountford saw Dan sticking to his opponent like glue to finish with 19 while "Valeite" Amber Adams put in a solid performance scoring 18 against Oliver to win the trophy for her team.

This was a nailbiter. Hem Heath's 15 point start was whittled away to zero by the Meir front 2 and with the final games being shared 21-19 the match ended in a tie. It was left to Hem Heath's Justin Clowes and Meir's Aiden Bradbury to step up to the plate in a 7-up decider that ended in a thrilling 7-6 win for Aiden to give the title to Meir Social No. 1
