NORTH STAFFS PARKS JUNIOR MERITS 2006
Played at Milton Hayes & Milton Recs 25th May and 28th May

Graham Mumford and John Jenkins, organisers of the North Staffs Parks Junior Merits, took advantage of the proximity of Milton Hayes and Milton Recs to run the 2006 competition between the 2 venues.
The event was scheduled for 25th May and there was a good entry of 31 youngsters. Using both the Milton greens, the plan was to complete the competition on one day. However, torrential rain caused the event to be halted at the quarter final stage.

The quarter finalists returned to Milton Hayes on Sunday 28th May to complete the proceedings  in much better conditions.

Skill and determination to win were the order of the day and all participants showed plenty of both to provide great entertainment for the small but enthusiastic crowd.

The final turned out to be an all Meir Kings Arms affair with Danny Higginson getting the better of Craig Podmore.
