British Parks Junior Merits 2007
Held at Florence Tennis & Bowling Club

30 of the best Junior prospects in British Parks Leagues compete for the Junior Merit title at Florence. |

There were 4 representatives from North Staffs who had qualified for the event through reaching the semi-final stage of the Staffs Junior Merit Competition.
The 4 local competitors all reached the
quarter final stage with Matt Hill (Westlands) and Jon Price
(Florence) going on to
make the Final an all Staffordshire affair. |

Jon and Matt
fought out a tremendous final. At one stage Matt led
18-13 and he was again in front at 20-18. Under severe
pressure, Jon then pulled out some great woods to pull
off a 21-20 win. |
